The daughter of Alvin and Mary Hiser, she was born in Springfield, MO on January 14, 1950 and spent the majority of her life in Missouri until moving to Phoenix, AZ in 2012. Marilyn graduated from Hillcrest High School in 1968, where she worked on the yearbook and in the front office. In her years before leaving Missouri, she was very proud to work at the FM Store, using her knowledge of sewing and fabrics to endear her as a valuable resource to all those who came into the shop. Her love of sewing, baking and cooking was infamous. If you knew Marilyn, then you most likely were the recipient of a blanket, container of cookies, her famous breads, or a home cooked meal.

She could sew anything from baby clothes to Christmas decorations to blankets to a Mary Poppins costume for her granddaughter. There was no request too difficult or outlandish. She would devout all of her time and resources to making a special item to brighten day. Marilyn loved her family and her friends. She enjoyed being able to use her skills for others and took great pride in her abilities.

You could call on Marilyn any time of day and she would have a story to share or a solution to a cooking, baking or sewing emergency. Marilyn was intelligent and compassionate. She cared about others and took the time to talk to every person she met. She truly never met a stranger and never missed sending a card to remember important occasions. Although Marilyn cared about everyone she met, she lived for her children, Matt and Valeria.

Marilyn dedicated her life to being an active part of their lives, supporting them in all of their endeavors, knowing all of their friends, and loving them fiercely. She worked hard for them and never missed a chance to tell the world just how proud of them she was. Marilyn is survived by her children, Matthew (Erin) Morgan and Valeria (Michael) Boss, grandchildren Addison and Brian Morgan, and Evan and Jay Boss, brother Harold Hiser, sister Phyllis (Jim) Bumgarner. She is preceded in death by her parents Alvin and Mary Hiser. A Celebration of Life will be held in honor on Sunday, November 13 at at Springhill Baptist Church coffee house (7370 North Farm Road 159, Springfield, MO).

Marilyn (Hiser) Morgan SPRINGFIELD Troy was born to Larry and Ann Marie Hughes on May 9, 1962, in Alva, Oklahoma. The first son to the family in a long time. He spent his childhood in Alva, Okla- homa, Hays, Kansas and Springfield, Missouri. He graduated from Kicka- poo High School in 1980. Troy was married to Sherry Hughes, to which they had an adored son, Logan Hughes.

Troy had many jobs in his life, but his favorite was being Mom to help raise his son Logan. Troy was always the comedian and he taught Logan how to be a magician at an early age. Troy worked at craft fairs selling peanuts for his business and Logan was the added magic entertainment. Troy later started a very successful sign business. He was a hard worker but also very creative and a visionary in the sign business.

In adult life he did stand-up comedy. He was a comedian until the end. His love of helping others was dis- played in many ways. He would dress up as Santa and deliver gifts to under privileged children. He taught young children he to garden and cook.

He even prepared a Thanksgiving dinner for class. He would have barbeques at his house and ask for donation to help various organizations. Such as One Sole Purpose to provide shoes for children in need. He loved to cook, garden, raise chickens. His true passion was spending time at his cabin in Colorado.

He was able to spend 4 months of his last 5 at the cabin. He is survived by his son, Logan Hughes, father, Larry Hughes and wife, Cathy, and sister Tammy Holley, Husband David. He is preceded in death by his mother, Ann Marie Hughes, bother Mark Hughes and all grandparents. He had a heart of gold and will be missed by many. There will be a visitation on Thursday, November 10, 2022, at Greenlawn Funeral Home South, 441 W.

Troy Dale Hughes MARSHFIELD Ralph Edward Shaffer passed away at the age of 79, at his residence in Marsh- field, Mo Friday Octo- ber 28, 2022. He was predeceased by his Loving Wife San- dra Mother- Mary Imogene Sell, Father- Ed Sweets and Brother- James Watts.
