The Missouri State Highway Patrol Said an eastbound car driven by Jack Weidmann, 55, rounded a curve and sideswiped the dual wheels of a westbound gasoline transport truck driven by Cedrick Lewellen, 7 1 Bolivar. Weidmann was pronounced dead at 6:49 p.m. at St John's. Lewellen was not reported Injured. Elsewhere, a Fort Leonard Wood man was killed Sunday In an-accident In Gunnison, Colo according, to the, Colorado State Patrol.

Frank Devera, 40, was pronounced dead at Gunnison County Hospital about an hour after the Sunday night acci- dent, sis miles west of Gunnison. Colorado authorities said Devera's car struck a deer, plunged down an embankment and overturned. Devera was thrown from the car. Meanwhile, a Springfield woman was listed in satisfactory condition this morning at St John's, where she was treated for injuries she suffered in a two-car crash Monday afternoon at the intersection of Battlefield Road and Scenic Paula Brown, 43, was northbound tn Scenic when she pulled Into the path of of a car driven by Delano Sisco, 36, of who was, westbound on Battlefield, Springfield police said. Prison stabbing still unsolved FORDLAND Ozark Correctional Center superintendent Jim Purkett said today he's not sure how long it might take to complete an investigation into the apparent stab-bing of a prison guard by an inmate. David Harris, 39, of Niangua, was stabbed Sunday while walking down a hallway in the center's housing unit No. 1. Trafficway, Energy aid applications open The Greene County office of the Missouri Division of Family Services is now taking applications for the 1985-86 Low Income Energy Assistance Program. Applications will be accepted at the agency's offices at 101 Park Central Square from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays through March 31, 1986. However, Family Services officials emphasized that the sooner eligible residents sign up, the sooner benefits will begin when approved.
