The mother has chronic liver problems resulting in chronic hepatitis.

She also has diabetes and Parkinson's, disease. Both of their teen-age children have had a rare blood disease since birth. The father, 59, worked as long as his health permitted but finally was forced to quit his job by his employer. In 'efforts to keep up with their medical and living expenses, the family has sold all its possessions of any value. Their monthly income totals $650.

Their rent is $325, and their utilities average $150 a month. When they pay their bills, nothing is left to buy food. They are behind on their utility bill. f- Two Barry County traffic accidents Sunday killed a Wheaton couple and left at least three persons hospital-, ized today. John W.

Moeller, 57, and his wife, Marjorie Lee, 53, were fatally injured about 7 p.m: Sunday when their car collided with a pickup truck on Barry County near Purdy, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said. Moeller apparently was attempting to pass another vehi-cle on a hill when the accident occurredtroopers reported. The driver of the pickup truck, Mark Lane Russell, 29, of Joplin, was reported in good condition today at St. John's Regional Medical Center in Joplin. Troopers said Russell suffered mouth, chest, rib, back and shoulder injuries.

Another passenger in the Moeller vehicle, Shirley Gale Clevenger, 35, Verona, was reported in satisfactory condi- tion today at St. John's Regional Health Center in Springfield. She had arm, leg and possible internal injuries, officers said. Elsewhere, a Shell Knob teen ager remained In fair condition today at St. John's in Springfield with injuries he suffered in a one-car accident Sunday night on Barry County YY.

Terry W. Testerman, 16, suffered a head laceration when the car in which he was riding crested a hill at exces- sive speed, ran off the road and overturned several times, troopers said. Thetlriver, James D. Larson, 17, also of Shell Knob, suffered an arm injury but refused hospital treatment, the patrol said. Authorities investigate killing DONIPHAN Authorities today are investigating the murder of a 24-year-old man whose body was discovered late Sunday night.

The victim, Eugene Ray Tuttle, was shot in the head with a shotgun while he was sleeping in a sleeping bag, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported today. Tuttle was discovered at the trailer home of his mother and stepfather, Lavern and Lehman Burns, about 11:30 ceives Veterans Administration disability. They took a second mortgage on their home so they could pay bills, 'which makes their total house payment now $320 a month. Their monthly expenses exceed their income by $200. The mother has found temporary housing, but her new landlord has given her two weeks to make a rent payment of $250. Their home has no source of heat except for the kitchen stove. The mother has had to postpone surgery because she has no one to care for her children. Her 16-month-old chili) barely has sufficient clothing.

Firefighters let house burn down SALEM, Ark; Volunteer firefighters refused to fight a fire that destroyed Anthony Brazil's $150,000 house and killed the family dog because they said he had not paid $20 in annual fees, Brazil said. "They just sat there and watched it bum. I couldn't do that if I was a fireman," Brazil, 37, said Sunday after his family's two-story house burned. "There wasn't anything left. It burned to the ground.

Stanley H.Krol, 71 REEDS SPRING Stanley H. Krol, 71. Route 4, Reeds Spring, died at 2:33 p.m. Saturday in Skaggs Hospital, Branson, after a long illness. Mr.

Krol moved to Reeds Spring two years ago from Chicago. Ballard, 83 PX'SKIN, Fla. Memorial services for James H. Ballard, 83, Sun City Center, were Sunday in Lewers Funeral Home. The body was cremated. Mr.

Ballard died of natural causes Friday in his home. A former Southwestern Bell district manager, he had lived in Springfield from 1940 to '46. He was a member of the Rotary Club' and the Chamber of Commerce. He was a graduate of the University of Missouri. Survivors include his wife, Genevieve two daughters, Nancy St.

Mr. Berglund died Sunday morning in his home after a long ill- ness. A lifelong Springfield resident, he was a retired maintenance worker for the Missouri Department of Health and a member of Oakland Methodist Church. She retired from the Springfield School District after 41 years of service. She was a member of Willard First Baptist Church and the church's Women's Missionary Union and had worked as a lay missionary in Taiwan in 1983 and in Ecuador In 1984. She was a member of the Joy Group of First Baptist Church.

A former owner of Kozy Korn-ers Gift Shop, the wat chairman of the Willard Bicentenniel Committee in 1976, on the board of directors of the Retirement Center and a member of the Willard Park Board. A graduate of Central Missouri State University, she was a member of Missouri State Retired Teachers and Beta Sigma Phi sorority. She was the widow nf Bay Edwards. Survivors include a nephew, Jim Whitfield, Chesterfield, and a niece, Shirley Coonrod, Warrensburg, who cared for her; great-niece; and a great-nephew. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 m.
