Maid of honor Peggy Reilmann wore dusty pink and bridesmaids Lisa Parmenter and Phyllis Furtwengler wore burgundy. They all carried a single gardenia. The grooms father served as best man. Groomsmen were Jerome Reilmann and Leonard McDonald. Ushers were Stan Reilmann and Dwight Klise.

and James C. and Katheryn Bridwell all of Springfield: The bride wore Chantilly lace flounce and snow white marabou trim accented with stand-up collar of schiffii-embroidered lace with pearls and sequins. She carried lavender and white roses and carnations. Honor attendents Beth Pattersojj and Shar-ron Piland wore tea length lavender and carried flowers similar to the brides. Don Piland was best man.

Diehl bought a Golden coloring book containing the official contest picture and entry form at the Springfield Venture Store, In total, 300,000 children, ages 3 to 10, entered hoping to win one of the 4,000 prizes in four age categories. The idea behind the contest, said Lisa Ray Johnson of Golden Press, is to teach children that they have a hidden talent for turning things into gold. Sarah's picture was judged the winner based on her creative use of coloring material, overall artistic effect, Interpretation of elements in the picture and neatness.

The youngster has played the violin since she was 2Vi. her mother said, in a Suzuki class. "They leam to listen and to concentrate," Joyce Diehl said. "I think that's why she can color so well at her age." Although her parents said Sarah had been very excited about her win, Sarah had little to say. The clown she painted was happy, she said.

And was she happy too? "Yes." What does she think of all this fuss? "It's fun." work. Or, rather, for her coloring book work.
