Martha and Jody In Loving Memory Robert Lloyd Hicks, of the Woody top quality Grammy-winning musician, father, husband, brother, and friend, passed away in his home on February 19, 2017, surrounded by family and close friends, while listening to and discussing music. Bobby Lloyd moved to Springfield, MO from Marshalltown, IA in 1965 to study music at SMS University and began his professional music career. He was a master percussionist, performing onstage and in studio, and was comfortable playing in nearly every genre: classic rock, rockabilly, funk, jazz, blues, classical, country-western, rhythm and blues, and pop. He was a founding member of multiple groups, including Bathwater and The Skeletons.

During his music career, he played on more than 10,000 recorded songs and in more than 75 bands. He performed twice at Madison Square Gardens and in countless countries encircling the globe. Bobby Lloyd acquired his first drum kit (black pearl Ludwigs just like in 1964 after watching The Beatles on the Ed Sullivan show, though he banged on household items and performed in the marching and pep bands before that. He was still playing weekly jam sessions at home until a week before passing. He attributed the record player he received at age 2 as beginning his love affair with music.

Touted as one of the best drummers to ever play by local, national, and international musicians alike, Bobby Lloyd nevertheless remained humble and approachable. Called such epitaphs as the human metronome, he was known for his rock steady beat, as well as his singing, arranging and chart writing. He could also play nearly any instrument. He was as well known for his kindness, infectious smile and dry wit, as he was for his musical ability, talent and knowledge. Bobby Lloyd participated in many humanitarian and cultural exchange programs, with the U.S.

State Department and the USO. Countless individuals, both in the music community and outside of it, called him He maintained correspondence with dozens of individuals across the globe, many whom he had only met once or had never actually met in person. Lloyd (as he was known to family) was born in Marshalltown, IA on March 12, 1947, to William and Genevieve Hicks (both deceased), younger brother of Herschel and older brother of Elizabeth. He met the love of his life, Patty, while playing through Oklahoma City in 1976. They were married 6 weeks later.

Lloyd and Patty have two daughters and a son. Lloyd is survived by his love and best friend Patty, daughter and son-in-law Lindsey and Bryan Fisher, daughter and son-in-law Bayley and Cory Smith, and son Brian Wilson Hicks (named for favorite Beach Boy); grandchildren Anghus and Maeve Fisher and Carter and Finley Smith; brother and sister-in-law Herschel and Renee Hicks, sister and brother-in-law Liz and Theo Fulk, many nieces and nephews, and countless friends. Bobby standard look was Chuck Taylor shoes, black jeans, and either a band tee shirt or an open button up shirt over a tee. He never really looked comfortable in a suit. Proud veteran of the US Marine Corps.

Preceded in death by mother Ruth (Harris) Urban; brother Michael Urban. Survived by son William Urban; father Paul Urban; brothers Jerry (Linda) Urban and Kelly (Rita) Urban. Interment will be a private ceremony. Memorials may be directed to the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society. William Harold Urban JAMES TERRENCE HAYES, age 96, passed away peacefully on February 22nd 2017 in Springfield, Mo.

He was born on in Kansas City, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Jane Hayes daughter Karen Joan Hayes. He leaves behind his son Terry (Rick) Hayes, grandchildren Terry (TJ) Hayes Cherie Edwards, great grandchildren Trenton Zuhlke, Cassie Hayes Taylor Hayes. There will be a Military Service on Wednesday March 1, at 2:00 p.m. at the Missouri State Cemetery where he will be interned with his beloved wife.

James T. Hayes Pat Jenkins was born on June 19, 1927 in New Bloomfield, MO. She passed on February 23, 2017 in Springfield, MO. Visitation for Pat will be on Monday, February 27, 2017 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. in Greenlawn Funeral Home South with the service following at 1:00 p.m.

19, 1921 in Waldron, AR, son of Nathaniel and Lundy (Perry) Paul. Glosser was a devout Christian man, traveling with his wife throughout his various ministries. He was an ordained General Baptist Minister for over 52 yrs. He is survived by a brother, Russell Paul; granddaughter, Evelyn Cannon and her husband Pat; two great-grandchildren, Tyler Gimlin and Amanda Gimlin; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Chauncy Paul; his parents; son Darrell, who played basketball for Bradleyville High School and was an All-American member of the winning team at State; siblings, Dorothy, Floyd, Hershel, and Doris.

Visitation will be Mon. Feb. 27 from, 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Whelchel Grace Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tues. Feb.

Glosser Paul Doris Jean Ebert, age 91, Marionville, died on Feb. 23, 2017 in Mercy Hospital, Aurora.

A visitation will be at 10 a.m., with the funeral service to begin at 11 a.m. on Feb. 27, 2017 in the St. Evangelical UCC, 303 NE Pine Street, Billings, under the direction of Meadors Funeral Home, Republic. Burial will follow the service in St.

Online condolences may be shared at www.meadors- funeralhome.com Doris Jean Ebert Roy Lavon Talent, age 88, of Springfield, MO, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 22, 2017. Roy, the son of Charles and Maude (Sullivan) Talent, was born January 8, 1929 in Springfield, MO.

Roy graduated from Diagonal High School, Diagonal, IA. He attended Missouri State University where he received a BS in Elementary Education and a MA of Education through the University of Missouri-Columbia. Roy married Mary Hilton, of Republic on November 24, 1950. Roy was a teacher and principal for 39 years. He began his career in a one room school house in Boyden, IA.

Returning to Springfield, Missouri, he began his 30 year career with the Springfield Public School system. He taught at Kickapoo Elementary and at Oak Grove Elementary where he served as both teacher and principal. Roy retired in 1989 from Bissett Elementary where he served 19 years as principal. Roy loved the Lord, his family, his friends and his students. He was a long-time member of Broadway United Methodist Church where he was actively involved.

hobbies included growing roses, gardening, collecting antique pocket watches, calligraphy and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Roy is survived by his wife, Mary Hilton Talent; daughter, Teresa Talent; son, Paul Talent and wife, Kelley; granddaughter, Megan Talent and fi- Chase Colton; grandson, Brady Talent; and his cat, Pepper. The family would like to thank their dear friend and loving caregiver, Darlene Shelley. A funeral service, officiated by Pastor John Inman, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 27, 2017 at Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel.

The final resting place will be Hazelwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service. Roy Talent Hildred Berniece Drussa Chittenden departed this life on February 24, 2017 for eternal life with her Savior, Jesus Christ. She was born to Jesse and Ida Drussa on August 30, 1922, in Springfield, MO.

Hildred married Elston Zane Chittenden on June 22, 1941. She was an active member of National Heights Baptist Church for 78 years, where she served as Sunday School Records Secretary for many years. She held many positions in the PTA organizations while her children were attending school. She loved baking bread for her friends and family and continued to bake bread weekly through last year. She will always be remembered for her intelligence, wit, cooking, always making the best of negative situations, and her love for her family.

She is survived by children Michael and Sharan Chittenden and Kevin and Becky Chittenden of Springfield, Barbara Anson, and Phil Hughes of Memphis; grandchildren, Heather and Tom Luellen, Gregory and Jennifer Chittenden, Emily and Will Laird, Zachary Chittenden and Alicia Lyons, Michael and Sarah Hughes, Alison and Karl Kosman, and Kathleen Hughes; and great-grandchildren, Jake Luellen, Madison, Reagan and Jackson Chittenden, Liam and Conrad Laird, and Robert Hughes. Preceding Hildred in death were her parents, her husband, sister Kathryn Gormley, step sisters, Inez Voien and Elenor Hilton, and daughter Brenda Hughes. A memorial service celebrating life will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 28, at National Heights Baptist Church, 3050 N. National, Springfield, with Dr.

Vaughn Weatherford, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. A family visitation will be held at the church an hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to National Heights Baptist Building Fund, 3050 N. National, Springfield, MO 65803.

Hildred Berniece Drussa Chittenden Jeanne Brazeal Guccione, 88 of Springfield, Missouri passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2017. She was born May 24, 1928 in Mansfield, MO. She attended Lindenwood College in St. Charles, MO and shortly thereafter married Wesley Brazeal in 1946. Wesley passed away in 1995.

She is survived by her husband, Joe Guccione; son Steve and wife Becky of Dallas, TX; and son Craig and wife Janet of Springfield, MO. She is also survived by granddaughter Christy and husband Jeff of Dallas, TX; grandson Craig of Dallas, TX and granddaughter Natalie Elston and husband Phil of Atlanta, GA. Jeanne was an avid golfer and bridge player. She and husband Wesley were charter members of Twin Oaks CC. She and husband Joe also played golf into their and enjoyed travel all over the world.

She was a superb cook and hostess and enjoyed a wide network of friends. Visitation will be held Monday, February 27, 2017 from 7 to 9:00 p.m. at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home on East Seminole and a graveside memorial will be at Hazelwood Cemetery on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Jean Brazeal Guccione Mary Kathlene McIntosh, age 87, of Springfield, formerly of Strafford, passed away on Thursday evening February 23, 2017, surrounded by family members. Mary retired from Lily Tulip with over 25 years of service, she volunteered through the Mercy Hospital Auxiliary and was a member of the North Star Baptist Church.

She had a love for the outdoors and animals of all kind. Mary always cherished time spent in Strafford, Mo. where she was born and raised. It was there, with her grandkids or on Table Rock Lake, that she found the most joy. Mary is survived by her three children, Keith McIntosh and wife Jean, Gary McIntosh, and Phil McIntosh and wife Kathy; seven grandchildren, 17 great- grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Dwain Patterson and wife Linda.

She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 50 years, Harold L. McIntosh in 1998; her parents Charlie and Jessie Allene Patterson; two sisters and one brother. Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 28, at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home in Springfield from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, March 1 at 10:30 am at Hazelwood Cemetery in Springfield.
