Wilson, age 99, of Springfield, MO, passed away January 21, 2017 at Maranatha Lodge. She was born October 27, 1917 in Fair Grove, MO, the daughter of William A Blair and Docia (Allen) Blair.

Ethel worked as a beautician for many years, but devoted herself to her son care, who had been wounded during the Vietnam War. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Glenn, son James, four brothers: Burl, Earl, Delbert and James, four sisters: May, Pearl, Nola and Marie and a son-in-law Waverly Wilson. Ethel is survived by her daughter-in-law Donna Wilson and four grandsons: Michael, Richard, Mark and Timothy Wilson. Visitation will be held Friday, January 27, 2017 from 1:00 2:00 PM at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 PM at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.

The family would like to thank the Manor at Elfindale and her nurse Cheryl for the care given during her eight and a half years there, and the staff at Maranatha Village for the care given. Ethel Wilson Virgil V. Renfroe, 79, Springfield, passed away at 2:52 am on Sunday, January 22, 2017. He was born, July 18, 1937, the second of seven children born and raised in Red Bay, Alabama. He attended elementary and high school in Red Bay until he joined the Air Force in November of 1954.

He received an honorable discharge from his service in Alaska in November of 1962. Returning to civilian life, Virgil worked for Goodyear Tire for seven years in a management position. From there he began what would become a year career in the auto industry in both Illinois and Missouri, including more than 30 years at Springfield Lincoln- Mercury. charitable heart was immeasurable. Research Hospital, Hospital, Red Cross and Wounded Warriors. He was a man of honor who served his country, community, family and friends faithfully. Virgil is survived by his wife of 57 years, Helen Marie (Alvarez) Renfroe, daughters Charlotte Horsman (husband Gary) of Springfield and Sharon Farley (husband Neal) of Springfield, son Victor Renfroe (wife Rebecca) of Flower Mound, TX; five grandchildren, Marshall Brown, Chris Swift (Wife Aimee), Marissa Farley, Kayla Horsman, and Alex Horsman; great-grandchildren Eliza Swift and one on the way; and two sisters, Virginia Johnson of Florence, AL and Geneva Boyd (husband Ted) of Hartselle, AL. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, January 26, 2017 in Clark Chapel at James River Church. Burial will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, January 27, 2017 in Missouri Veterans Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Wednesday in Gorman- Scharpf Funeral Home. Virgil Renfroe Robert Lowell Western of Springfield, MO passed away Sunday, January 22, 2017 from complications of Robert Lowell Western was born in Linneus, Mo. in Linn County on June 21, 1940 to Edward Lowell Western and Lottie Corrine Western Dryden the youngest of two children. Lowell lived in Linneus until his family moved to Springfield, MO when he was eight and attended Sunshine Elementary and Jarrett Junior High and graduated from Parkview High School in 1959. Lowell then married his High School sweetheart, Linda Jean Cook on January 23, 1960 and they were blessed with 57 heartfelt and fun loving years together.

He was a much-loved member of the Cook family. He was devoted to his brother Edmond and mother Corrine, enjoying many wonderful meals around her dining table and out of state visits to Brother Edmond and family. He worked for Dayco Products in Springfield for 40 years, making many lifelong friends which he shared many memories; to them he was known as Bob (Robert). In retirement he had more time to enjoy some of the things he liked best: spending time with family and friends, and traveling to see his grandkids. He was a devoted and passionate fan of the NFL Arizona Cardinals, formerly the St.

Louis Cardinals Go Big Red, and Missouri Tigers. He was a season ticket holder to SMS Bears basketball for over 30 years. He enjoyed Thoroughbred horse racing and the entertaining crowds at the track, and enthusiastically introduced family and friends to the sport. He was a diligent handicapper and his favorite track was Oaklawn Park, but enjoyed traveling to other race tracks to experience their races, crowds, food, and surrounding towns. Wes was an avid boater with his family at Table Rock Lake and with great patience, helped teach many to water ski, while having great fun at the lake.

He was a superb steak and chicken griller using his favorite Old Smokey grill. He loved spending time and playing with his children and grandchildren outside in the backyard. He enjoyed listening to music and great singing voices, and was fond of singing along to his many favorite songs and show tunes. He was a long time member at St. Paul United Methodist Church.

Wes will be remembered by his family for his quick wit, funny one liners and his ability to make over statements into hilarious commentary. He had a knack for making any outing an adventure. He will also be remembered as a loving father and the greatest dad. He was a devoted, loving husband and steadfast friend. Wes is survived by his wife Linda Jean Western, his son Wesley and family in Charleston, SC, his daughter Terri and her family in San Antonio, TX, and his brother Edmond and wife Joan and family in Bakersfield, CA.

Wes will greatly miss his three grandchildren: Spenser Elizabeth Henderson, Ainsley Corrine Western, and Asher Rayden Western, his children Terri Lynne and Wesley Edmond, and his wife Linda. Services will be at 10am, Friday, January 27th at Gorman Scharpf Funeral Home, 1947 E. Seminole St. Springfield MO, with visitation from 5:00 Thursday. Graveside services will be at Columbia Cemetery, Columbia Missouri.

In memory of Wes, contributions may be made to the Disease Foundation. Robert Lowell Western Chauncy Paul, 87, of Bradleyville died Sunday, January 22, 2017. She was a devout Christian woman, traveling with her husband throughout his various ministries. She taught Sunday School for many years while enjoying her status as an adopted aunt and grandma to many children. Chauncy was an employee at Fasco for over thirty years.

She is survived by her husband Glosser whom she married December 7, 1946; brothers Joe (Nadine) Horner, and Ted (Nadine) Horner; granddaughter Evelyn Cannon and her husband Pat; two great-grandchildren, Tyler Gimlin and Amanda Gimlin; and numerous nieces and nephews. Chauncy was preceded in death by her parents; son Darrell, who played basketball for Bradleyville High School and was an All-American member of the winning team at State; brothers Tom Horner, Bert Horner and Ray Horner; and sister Norma Combs. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 25 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Whelchel Grace Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, January 26, 2017 at New Vision Baptist Church in Taneyville. Burial will follow at New Blair Cemetery, Bradleyville.
