He was also preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Sylvon Boone Chism; three brothers, Athel, Cecil and Chism; and a sister, Ruby Truelove. Survivors include, five daughters and sons-in-law, Marilyn and Gerald Robertson, and and Don McMahon, Springfield, Dana, Diana and Terry Julian, Benton, Phyllis and Marty Howard, Dexter, and Renee and Stan Goodman, Conway, a son and a daughter-in-law, Bill and Fran Chism, Springfield, six granddaughters, Robyn Cronin, Lana Byrd, Jill Mercing, Crystal Strong, Laura Schwieger and Katie Howard; seven grandsons, Brent Chism, Justin McMahon, Kevin Chism, Wes Howard, John Julian, Goodman and David Howard; and nine great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers, Harold and Rayburn Chism; and a sister, Reba Miller, all of Plumerville, Ark. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. today in the University Church of Christ with Bill Turner, Mike Morris, and Lendall Bolin officiating.

Arrangements by RollerMcNutt Funeral Home, Conway, Ark. www.rollermcnutt.com Helen Ann Boerner Ralph Chism Murphy Ralph Chism, 79, of Con- Helen Ann Murphy of Springfield, passed away at 6:34 a.m. Saturday, July 6, 2002 in St. John's Regional Health Center, Springfield, after a long illness.

Helen was born in Paris, Ark. to Henry and Frances Boerner. She grew up in Subiaco, attended primary school there, and graduated high school from St. Scholastica Academy, Fort Smith, Ark. After graduating from St.

School of Nursing, Fort Helen Edward, served others as a registered nurse in the Army hospital in Fort Chaffee, Ark, and in St. Edward Hospital and Sparks Hosptial in Fort Smith, Ark. Helen and Walter M. Murphy were united in marriage on Feb. 1, 1958 in Fort Smith, Ark.

Helen's marriage, family and Catholic faith were most important to her. She maintaned her relationship with God through prayer throughout her life. When Helen was younger and healthier, she enjoyed being a homemaker an active in parish. ande Though death brings an end to Helen's earthly existence, death also brings her into the light of God's eternal day that knows no end. Helen was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Jim Boerner of Fort Smith, and her parentsin-law, Michael P.

and Beatrice A. Murphy, Joplin, Mo. She is survived by her husband, Walter, of Springfield; two daughters, Natalie Murphy and husband Kip, and Jill Keck and husband Joe, Nixa; one son, Patrick H. Murphy and his friend, Sharon Chesler, Springfield, four grandchildren, Shannon, Rachel and Ryan Murphy, Nixa, and Jack Keck, Nixa; one aunt, Anna Kebres, Fort Smith, Ark; four sisters, Mary Frances Newman, Prarie View, Sally Johnston and husband Clyde, and Irene Nelson, Fort Smith, and Mildred Schneider and husband Mountainburg, three brothers, Eugene Boerner Pauline, Chuck Boerner and wife Rosella, and Fred Boerner and wife Wilma, Fort Smith, brother-in-law, Robert E. Murphy and wife E.J.u, Grapevine, Texas; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 9, 2002 in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Springfield, with Rev. Lewis Heina presiding. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Springfield. Prayer services will be at 7 p.m.

and went home Jesus on July 11 p.m. in Mansfield, Mo. after her battle with cancer at the age of 69 years, 0 months and 20 days. Helen was a lifelong resident of the McClurg community. She was a homemaker and resided on the family farm at McClurg.

She was a graduate of the Bradleyville High School. Helen was a Christian having recently accepted the Lord as her Saviour. She helped care for many people in their homes. She loved to knit and crochet and was an accomplished seamstress. She also enjoyed always doing for others.

Helen's kindness and love will live on in her family and friends. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbert A. and Edna Johnson; one sister, Marilyn Evans; and one brother, Donald Johnson. Survivors include one brother, Harlin Johnson and wife Kay, Ava; one niece, Tammy Studyvin and husband Kenny, Alpena, one nephew, Ronnie Evans and wife Shirley, Ava, three great Nicole, Jessica Jodie; two great nephews, Garrett and J.D.; and a host of other relatives and friends. Services will be at 10 a.m.

Tuesday in Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, with Rev. Tom Johnson officiating. Interment will be in the Bethel Cemetery, Brownbranch, Mo. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral chapel.

Fax: 868- Kathryn Jones Dunn Kathryn Jones Dunn, a resident of NHC Healthcare Center of Oak Ridge, Tenn. for four years, died July 3, 2002. She had lived in Oak Ridge since 1983. Mrs. Dunn was born in 1909 in Boone County, Mo.

She graduated from Central Methodist College in Fayette, Mo. in 1929, majoring in both Math and French. In 1930, she took a six tour of Europe. For several years, she taught English, Spanish and Math at Hereford High School in Callaway County; Mo. She married Charles "Jack" Dunn in 1933.

During their marriage, the Dunn's lived in several Missouri and lowa towns as part of Mr. Dunn's work with the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture. Mrs.

Dunn made many good friends in these towns. She strongly believed in the importance of education and worked to support local public schools through the PTA and later by helping to finance her children and grandchildren's college educations. Dunn enioyed the game of bridge most of her life. She was fortunate to have several bridge partners that were both very close friends and excellent bridge players, which led to her becoming a duplicate bridge Life Master. She is survived by son J.C.

Dunn and wife Ellen of Ft. Sumner, N.M., and daughter Ella Mower and husband David of Oak Ridge, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 9, in Memorial Park Cemetery, Columbia, Mo. True Friend.
