CABOOL Mrs. Helen Carson, 80, El- Dale H. Rabe Dale H. Rabe, 56, Springfield, went to be with his Heavenly Father following a yearlong battle with cancer on Monday, Dec. 13, 2004, at his home with his wife by his side.

Dale was born Oct. 21, 1948, in Dodge City, the son of Glenn and Betty Rabe. After moving to Missouri at the age of four, Dale spent his childhood in Hurley. He was saved and baptized at age 10 and was a member of Crane Baptist Church. Dale graduated from high school in 1966 and joined the U.S.

Army. He served in the Army until April 1969, during which time he spent 18 months serving in the Vietnam War. Dale married Judy Keltner June 12, 1970, and together they raised three daughters. Dale worked at General Electric for 32 years. He enjoyed his job and the many friends he had there.

Dale enjoyed living in the country, spending time outdoors, and attending Battlefield United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Judy, of the home; his three daughters and their spouses, Cathy and Joe Vallez, Springfield, Christie and Chris Jones, Republic, and Cindy and Mat Thompson, Springfield; his parents, Glenn and Betty, Springfield; two brothers, Larry Rabe, Springfield, and Neil Rabe and wife West, Show Low, his six grandchildren, Sarah, Brittany, Rachel, Christian, Ashley and Caleb, whom he loved dearly, as well as many other family, for and all friends. the A love, special support and prayers that the family has received, and also to the St. John's staff at the Oncology department, the 7-D floor staff, and their hospice staff. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m.

Thursday, Dec. 16, 2004, at Meadors Funeral Home, Republic, with Pastor Josh Langille-Hoppe officiating. Burial, with military honors by the Veterans Memorial Team, will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Republic. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today, Dec.

Dean O. Moots Dean O. Moots, 76, of Springfield, passed away Monday, Dec. 13, 2004, in his home. He was born Aug.

14, 1928, near Lockwood, the son of Lee Wesley and Patsie Sooter Moots. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Shirley Catron Moots; two sons, Roger Moots and Randall Moots and his wife, Anita Moots; a daughter, Donna Curbow and her husband, Garry; five grandchildren, Lundberg and her husband, Adam, Brian Moots, Chad Moots, Amber Curbow and Chelsea Curbow; two great-grandchildren, Alexandra Moots and Anna Lundberg. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Merritt Lee Moots. Dean attended school in Lockwood, graduating in 1945. He enlisted in the army September 1946 and as a member of the 11th Airborne Unit.

He served in the occupation army in Japan. He was called into service for the Korean War and served with the second infantry division in 1950-51. After completion of his military service, Dean began career of over 50 years as a sales representative for many companies selling men's, women's and western clothing retail stores throughout Missouri, Arkansas and Kansas. Dean enjoyed sales and the opportunity to interact with a variety of people. He had a passion for travel and seeing as much of the world as possible.

His travels took him to all fifty states and seven continents including over different countries. Dean was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church and was proud of his Christian heritage. He loved his family and was always proud all their accomplishments. He had a fun-loving spirit and enjoyed storytelling and having a good time. He always felt his mission in life was to spread a little sunshine.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 17, 2004, in Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel with the Rev. Hosea Bilyeu officiating. Burial will follow in Missouri Veterans Cemetery.

She was born Aug. 24, 1923 in Tulsa, the second of five children of Manford and Georgianna Price. Her early years were spent in Tulsa until moving to Union Consolidated School near Broken Arrow to finish high school as one of 10 in her graduating class. She attended the University of Tulsa for a Bachelor degree in Voice and English. She was involved with choirs and orchestra and was soprano soloist at First Presbyterian Church in Tulsa.

She began teaching at age nineteen and taught at Union, Tulsa, Sand Springs and Owasso in Oklahoma. She moved with her husband, Jack, to Springfield and in 1952 she taught at Ritter School in Springfield. When Pershing High opened, she moved there as the general music teacher, where she taught until retirement. She not only wanted people to know how to live but to enjoy the finer things of life, especially the Arts. She was a follower of Jesus Christ all of her life.

She directed church choirs and was a charter member of Mid America Singers. She also sang with the Civic Aires and was a member of the Board of the Community Concerts Association and was a past president of the Women's Auxiliary of the Salvation Army. Her daughters reflect her compassionate caring spirit in their dedication to family and community. She remains with us in the lives she touched helping them to be women and men in strength, courage, vitality and spirit, to love life and give it your best. She was a teacher for over 40 years, retiring in 1989 from Springfield Public Schools.

She was an active member of Cornerstone Church and involved in Women Agiow and Massiah Project. She was ala member of Retired so. Teachers Association and Sigma Alpha Iota Honorary Music Fraternity. Theone had resided in Springfield since 1950. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jack Owen Cole Jr.

on Dec. 9, 2003. Theone is survived by her hsuband, Jack 0. Cole, Springfield; three daughters, Jeanne Kierre and her husband, Johnni, Dardanelle, Jeanette Evans, Springfield, and Jacqueline Trtan and her husband, Tom, Springfield; a brother and his wife, Walter M. and Sandy Price, Omaha, three sisters, Cleora Harris, Monkey Island, Georgianna Di Mauro, Statten Island, N.

and Mary Ella Sutton and her husband, Jack, Palo Alto, a daughter-inlaw, Rosalind Cole, Grandview, her in-laws, Sylva Logue, Los Angeles, Nona Uthoff and her husband, Loren, Sun City West, Cole and his wife, Jackie, Rogersville, Willard Dale Cole and his wife, Katherine, Sand Springs, and Rev. Gene Cole and his wife, Dr. Diane Cole, Neosho, nine grandchildren, Loran Lomax and his wife, Cathy, Kathryn and Joel Lomax, Jack and Della Evans, Nicholas Trtan and his wife, Ashley, Victoria and Sally Trtan; and three great-grandchildren, Hannah Lomax, Joshua Wilhite and Dominick Trtan. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec.

11, 2004, in St. Louis University Medical Center in St. Louis. Don was born on March 7, 1949, in Fagus, to Dewey and Jessie (Wells) King. He was united in marriage to Wilma Thompson on Jan.

1, 1972, in West Plains, Mo. He served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam era. Phillip worked for 25 years for the Loren Cook Company of Springfield before retiring in 2001. He was a member of the Calvary United Pentecostal Church where he served for 10 years as the Church Secretary. He is survived by his loving wife, Wilma; children, Beverly King, Michael King, Christine Bevan and husband James, Karen Perkins and husband Shannon; five grandchildren; four brothers; three sisters; many and nephews; and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 17, 2004, at Thieme-ShadelHicks Funeral Service Rivermonte Chapel with Pastor Ben Medlin officiating. Burial will follow in Rivermonte Memorial Gardens with full military rites. Visitation will be Thursday, Dec.
