5, 1996, in Forsyth Care Center. He was born April 3, 1911, irr Pennsboro. He owned and operated Greenfield Ford Mo-tor Co. and Greenfield Milling Co. and was also a farmer.

He attended the Methodist church. He was a member of Greenfield Masonic Lodge. He married Beulah Ramsey July 25, 1932, in Springfield. She survives. He is also survived by a Perry, Tulsa, a i grandson, Cliff; a granddaugh-i tor, Perri Ann Wyatt; two great-j grandchildren; and several i nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 8, 1996, in Greenfield Funeral Chapel with burial in Pennsboro Cemetery. Friends may call at their Convenience after noon today in the funeral chapel. She was preceded in death by her parents. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Southside Church of Christ, Ozark, with Charles White officiating.

She was united in marriage to John L. Pfander Aug. 2, 1916, in Carthage. She graduated from Jasper High School, Class of 1912. She and John lived on farms In Jasper County until 1939, when they moved to Barton County, where they farmed and milked cows until they retired.

Grace was a living example of a "farmer's wife" active in many farm organizations, Eastern Star and a loyal member of lantha Methodist Church. She is survived by a son, Dr. Burl Nixa; three daughters-in-law, Becky, Wawautosa, Wise, Jean, Lamar, and Reba, Nixa; eight grandchildren; 12! great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John three sons, John Franklin, Homer Gene and Donald Lee; and two sisters, Frances and Mable. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

A celebration of her life will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 8, 1996, In Lohmeyer-Konantz Funeral Home, Lamar, with burial In lantha Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. today in the funeral home.

Friday, Jan. 5, 1996, in Cox Medical Center South. John was born Dec. 26, 1911. in Springfield to Fide and Clemie Dixon Bridges.

He was united in marriage June 28, 1930, to Esther Burgess In Ozark. He was a dedicated family man and a devoted friend to many. He worked at Taystee Bakery for 47 years and was an avid hunter and fisherman. John was a member of College Street Baptist Church and a charter member of Glendale Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 65 and a half years, Esther, of the home; a son and his wife, John K.

and Jeanie; a daughter and her husband, Carol and Dan Gough, all of Springfield; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters and four brothers. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 8, 1996.

Lula May Carter Lula May Carter, 93, Springfield, passed away at 8:44 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 2, 1996, in Maranatha Manor, where she had been a resident since July 1993. Born Feb. 4, 1902, in Seda-lia, to William H.

and Melissa May Hutler, she lived in Joplin before moving to Springfield. Lula had four brothers and five sisters. On July 10, 1921, she was married to Lawrence A. Carter, who passed away Jan. 20, 1965.

Lula was a longtime member of Calvary Temple Assembly of God. She especially enjoyed her Sunday school classes, her church friends and being with her family. She is survived by her children, Robert A. Carter, Pittsburg, Virginia M. Wilson and Ernest E.

Carter, both of Springfield; a sister, Pearl Slath, Ozark; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. In Rose Anna Pachlhofer Evans Rose Anna Pachlhofer Evans, 76, Springfield, devoted mother, grandmother and friend in Christ, passed away at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 5, 1996, In her home. Bom In Verona to John and Theresa Young Pachlhofer April 30, 1919, she was raised in Aurora and married Leo G.

Evans in Pierce City June 23, 1942. Rose and Leo raised their children in Crane, where they owned Crane Hatchery until 1952, when they moved to Mount Vernon where they were active members of St. Suzanne Catholic Church. Rose worked more than 30 years in school food service at Mount Vernon Elementary and later In Springfield, where they moved in 1966, at Pershing Junior High. In recent years, she served as Eucharistic minister at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, was active in other church organizations and was a volunteer with St.

John's Regional Health Center Auxiliary. She is survived by a daughter, Mary Ann Evans-Patrick, Appleton, Wise; a son, Don, Findlay, Ohio; two sisters, Margaret Sullivan, Wichita, and Mary E. Reldle, Verona; six grandchildren; and two great-grandsons. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo in 1981. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m.

Tuesday, Jan. 9, 1996, In Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Fr. Joseph Or-thel, celebrant. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Verona, under direction of Bob and Don Lohmeyer, Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel. Prayer services will be at 7:30 p.m.

4, 1996, In Missouri Veteran's Home, Mount Vernon. James was born Dec. 10, 1924, in Clarksville, Tenn. He moved to Springfield in 1961 and was a World War II Navy and Air Force veteran. He was a retired carpenter.

He was a longtime member of VFW Post No. 3404. He Is survived by his wife. Vera Haynes; two sons, John Springfield, and James L. and his wife, Jolene, Willard; a daughter, Debra Johnson, Springfield; six grandchildren, Johnny Joe Jr.

and Stacy Haynes, Christine Brown. Jason Haynes, and Andrea and Eric Johnson; and a great-grandson, Zachery Brown, all of Springfield. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday. Jan.

She was born Sept. 6, 1912, in Chicago, to Jacob and Frances Danieiewski Ryzek. She was raised in Chicago and was later a longtime resident of Rialto, moving to Springfield a few years ago. She was a hospital nurses' aide. She had been past president of Golden Age Group and Sunny Hour Club, both of Fontana, a volunteer worker at Mini Mart, a member of St.

Chaterins of Senca Church, both of Rialto, Stillwell Senior Citizens, Doling Park Senior Citizens, Salvation Army and Center City Senior Citizens, all of Springfield. She is survived by a son and his wife, Lawrence and Nancy, Springfield; a sister and her husband. Bubbles and Richard Germain, Walkerton, and a step-grandson, Rick Kleine, Springfield. She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony. Local services will be at 10:30 a.m.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 T.m. today In the funeral Gregory Keith Chappel BULLHEAD CITY, Ariz. Gregory Keith Chappel, 32, Bullhead City, formerly of Springfield, passed away at 4:45 a.m. Jan. 4, 1996, In Bullhead City Medical Center.

The son of Albert and Martha Chappel, he was born Sept. 3, 1963, in Honolulu. Hawaii, where his father served in the Air Force. Gregory served with the Army at Fort Leonard Wood, as well as in Germany. He attended Cherokee Junior High and Kickapoo High School and had worked at Win-Vent Manufacturing In Nixa.

He is survived by his parents, Albert and Martha; a sister and her husband, Arlette Marie and Brent Wilkinson, and their son. his nephew, his pride and joy, Dakota Garrett Wilkinson, age four; a very special grandma, Imogene Robertson, all of Springfield; a loving companion, Tammy Vanhorn, Bullhead City. and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Jan.

Nada Lee Wommack Creson SPOKANE Nada Lee Wommack Creson, 68, Spokane, passed away at 6 a.m. Friday, Jan. 5, 1996. She was in her home when she was taken home to be with her God. Nada Lee was born Nov.

28. 1927. In Springfield, the daughter of Ruel and Gladys Wommack. She attended Springfield Senior High School and Southwest Missouri State College. On Jan.

6, 1948, she married Donald Gene Creson. In 1955, Nada Lee and Gene moved to Kansas. They remained there until 1979, when, in retirement, they returned to Spokane. Nada Lee had two unquenchable loves In her life, one for her God, the other for her family. Nada Lee gave her life to God at an early age and her adult life was spent teaching young children to know, love and trust the God who created them.

She taught both in the classroom and wherever she went. She re- Ruth M. Snyder Ruth M. Snyder, 86, Springfield, passed away at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan.

3, 1996, In Primrose Place. Ruth was born Nov. 4, 1909. in Joplin and was orphaned at an early age. She was then placed in an orphanage, where she remained for five years until she was adopted by Fred A.

and Freda Bartllng Bohne. In 1935, she was married to Leslie M. Lieurance. Upon his death, she married Charley A. Snyder in 1986.

They made their home In Springfield. She had studied music at State Teachers' College, now S.M.S., and graduated as a music major. She taught private piano lessons for many years. She was a member of University Heights Baptist Church and the Tennis Circle. She was preceded in death by her adoptive parents; her first husband; and an adoptive sister.

She Is survived by her husband. Charley Springfield; an adopted son, Robert L. Lieurance, Fulton; an adoptive sister, Mildred Steely, Turlock, a step-son and his wife, Harley and Betty Jo Snyder, Springfield; three step-grandchildren. Matt Snyder and his wife, Kim, Debbie Newman and her husband, Nick, and Greg Snyder; three step-greatgrandchildren, Zack and Alex Newman and Emily Snyder, all of Springfield; a niece, Mildred Pratt, Springfield; a great-nephew, Paul Creason, Forsyth; and other nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m.

Monday. Jan. 8, 1996, In Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel with the Rev. Michael K. Oimstead officiating.
