Woltman Leonard M. Woltman, was born April 13, 1921, in Waukesha, Wise, and departed this life at 8:35 a.m. May 5, 1999, in Springfield Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Springfield, Mo. He married Ophelia Avarltt on Sept. 5, 1943.

During World War II he served in England with the 8th Army Air Force, 452nd Bomb Group. He is survived by his wife; sons, Tom Woltman, Lenexa, and Terry Woltman, Aurora, and their wives; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers; and two sisters. He was transferred to Springfield in 1978 and fell In love with the Ozarks. He retired In 1988 after many years in the Insurance businesss. His great love was doing work for the Lord.

He was so proud and happy to have served for almost 21 years as a religious volunteer at the Federal Medical Center where he touched many lives. He was a member of Sunset Church of Christ. An avid golfer who won many awards, she was also a charter member of Twin Oaks Country Club and served two terms as president of Twin Oaks Women's Golf Association.
