Burtrum, 78, Springfield, died at 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 16, 1998, while deer hunting in Howell County, of an apparent heart attack. The son of Fred and Pearl Burtrum, he was born March 20, 1920, in Elijah, Mo. He was a retired insurance investigator, Army Air Corps veteran of World War I1, and a member of the South Haven Baptist Church, and the Masonic Lodge.

Glen W. Ferguson Glen W. Ferguson, 97, Springfield, died at 1 a.m. Nov. 17, 1998, in Springfield Residential Care Center.

He was born Dec. 30, 1900, in Iberia, to the late William T. and Mary Frances Smith Ferguson. He was a Frisco Railroad employee for 39 years. After retirement, he spent four and a half years as an employee of the Assemblies of God in their Headquarters building.

His home and his church were the focal points of his life. was a longtime member of First Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon, chairman of the ushers, and as an usher, and his friendly outgoing manner suited perfectly when he aced" as a Greeter. He assisted with the Lord's Supper in a significant manner. he addition to in his death parents, was preceded by six brothers, and five sisters. 16, 1998. He was born in Bemidji, Minn. Following his retirement in 1975, Pinky and Martha resided in Kimberling City, where he was an active member of the BPOE Lodge. After many years as winter residents of Arizona, they moved to Monte Vista Village, Mesa, in 1997. A prayer service will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, where she was interred next to her husband of 63 years, Lowell E. Kreider, who preceded her in death Jan. 23, 1988. Elsie A. Rider was born to Clint and Lucy Rider in Pryor, Okla.

Her parents, and three sisters preceded her in death. She attended school in Afton, Okla. She graduated from Teachers College in Talequah, and taught school in Webbers Falls, Okla. She married Lowell Kreider April 13, 1925. She was devoted to her family, friends and church.

She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Tioga E.H.U. She was an active member of First Christian Church in Chanute, where she served as president of the Christian Women's Fellowship. After moving to Springfield, in November of 1990, she attended National Avenue Christian Church. When failing health prevented her attendance, she continued to serve the church by, crocheting 500 winter hats for the Council of Churches of the Ozarks projects and the Missouri Hotel. Survivors include three daughters, Geralee Woolacott and her husband, Harvey, Bradenton, Jacqueline Schmalberg and her husband, Robert, Lawrence, and Karen Sweeney and her husband, J.

Miles, Springfield, six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She leaves her family, and friends with many memories positive person, with a wonderfully dry sense of humor, who devoted her life to others. Allen Ledbetter, 93, Springfield, went home to be with God at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17, 1998, in Primrose Place, Springfield, following a long illness. The son of James and Caldona Jones Ledbetter, he was born March 9, 1905, in Lutie, Mo. He was united in marriage to Bertha Hampton on Nov.

22, 1924, who preceded him in death in 1997. He was also preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Raymond, Rayford and Emory; and his youngest son, W.D. He is survived by a son, Carl Ledbetter, Neosho, a daughter, Delphia Hogan, Springfield; a devoted daughter-in-law, Carolyn Ledbetfer, Sarcoxie, 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a great-greatgrandchild. Allen became a Christian and was called into the ministry at an early age. He was a member of Salem General Baptist Church in Ozark County, Mo.

He had pastored rural churches ip Southwest Missouri and conducted many revivals in surrounding mid-west states and California. His greatest joy was his family and preaching the Word. He was at his best by a bed side when a friend was ill or consoling other people when losses came to them. The miles were never too long when he received a call to a home or hospital when he was needed. He loved the Bible and enjoyed every opportunity to share it with others.

His life is over, but his legacy lives on in the hearts of his family and the many lives he touched. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 20, 1998, in True Hope General Baptist Church, Theodosia, under direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home South, Springfield, Mo. Friday in the funeral home. James Virgil Trimble LAMPE Jim left us Tuesday, Nov. 17, 1998, while at home in his easy chair, of congenital: heart failure, at the age of Jim was born Aug. 21, 1937, in St. Louis, to Hildred Barbara and James William' Trimble.

He was a proud graduate of Christian Brothers College in St. Louis in 1955. He served in Marine Corps. He attended Our Lady of the Cove Catholic Church, Kimberling City. The oldest son of eight children, he was always the leader.

A strong and hardworking man, was a loving father grandfather. Jim owned and operated Harter House Meats on South Campbell, for many years. He enjoyed his customers and being a meat cutter, and his customers always looked forward to his smiling face. He was still a friendly face at Harter House on Republic Road, where he enjoyed working along side his son, Bill, and other relatives and longtime friends. (There was never a dull moment when father and son would joke behind the counter.) He enjoyed The Lake, mowing the fishing with his brothers, traveling and gaming with his mother and sisters, and spending time with his family and friends.

We will joyfully remember him as a good man with a good sense of humor and witty sarcasm. He was preceded in death by his father, James William Trimble, and favorite brotherin-law, Jerry "Butch" Bettlach. He is survived by his mother, Hildred Reichle Adler; four sisters; three brothers; a daughter and her husband, Linda and Barry Miller, and their children, B.J. Christopher, a daughter and her husband, Tina and Leslie Simpson, and their children, Jessica; Robbie, and Ericka, a son and his wife, Bill and Theresa Trimble, and their child, James, and daddy's baby daughter and her husband, Barbie and Dave Studanski, and their children, Stephanie, Preston and Harley; dear to his heart and mother of his children, Peggy Trimble; also many nieces; nephews, relatives and good friends, such as Shelby Deckard, who was more than a doctor. Thank you Shelby.

A prayer service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, 1998, in Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel with Fr. John Brath officiating, with visitation directly following. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association, or the Cancer Research Center.

As he wished for nings to be simple, we can only say that he will be sadly missed by all the hearts that he touched in his life. Float away, Dad. We love you..
