17, 1998, in her home, near Reeds Spring, Mo. Frankie was united in marriage on Jan. 16, 1933, to Floyd Blevins, who preceded her in death. She was a lifelong resident of Reeds Spring. Survivors include two sons, Jerry Blevins, Reeds Spring, and Rick Blevins, Nixa; five daughters, Vicki Stone, Aurora, Rena Rltter, Connie Kerr, and Ronnie Jackson, all Of Spring-, field, and Ginger Stone, Hlgn-iandvllle; a brother, Ralph Conner, Eminence; 18 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A prayer service will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, where she was interred next to her husband of 63 years, Lowell E. Kreider, who preceded her in death Jan. 23, 1988. Elsie A. Rider was born to Clint and Lucy Rider in Pryor, Okla.

Her parents, and three sisters preceded her in death. She attended school in Af-ton, Okla. She graduated from Teachers College in Talequah, and taught school In Webbers Falls, Okla. She married Lowell Kreider April 13, 1925. She was devoted to her family, friends and church.

She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Tioga E.H.U. She was an active member of First Christian Church in Chanute, where she served as president of the Christian Women's Fellowship. After moving to Springfield, in November of 1990, she attended National Avenue Christian Church. When failing health prevented her attendance, she continued to serve the church by crocheting nearly 500 winter hats for the Council of Churches of the Ozarks projects and the Missouri Hotel. Survivors include three daughters, Geralee Woolacott and her husband, Harvey, Bra-denton, Jacqueline Schmalberg and her husband, Robert, Lawrence, and Karen Sweeney and her husband, J.

Miles, Springfield, six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She leaves her family and friends with many memories of a positive person, with a wonderfully dry sense of humor, who devoted her life to others. Butts DeWayne "Mr. Butts, 48, Springfield, died at 6:50 a.m. Nov. 17, 1998. He was born March 29, 1950, in Springfield, Mo.

He graduated from Oklahoma Christian College and took post-graduate courses at Drury College. He was a teacher at Marion C. Early School, Morrls-ville, and a member of M.S.T.A. and C.T.A. He was a member of the Church of Christ, Oklahoma City, Okla.

He Is survived by his wife of 1 1 years, Jeanette; his parents, Arnold L. and Jo Ann Butts, Lampe, a brother, Dwight E. Butts, Kansas City, a sister, Theresa Dudley; a niece, April Dudley, both of Willard, and many close friends. No services are planned. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m.

1 1 -I '7 -1 Woodie H. Burtrum Woodie H. Burtrum, 78, Springfield, died at 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 16, 1998, while deer hunting In Howell County, of an apparent heart attack.

The son of Fred and Pearl Burtrum, he was born March 20, 1920, in Elijah, Mo. He was a retired insurance investigator, Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, and a member of the South Haven Baptist Church, and the Masonic Lodge. He Is survived by his wife, Laura to whom he married June 9, 1943; a son and his wife, David K. and Barbara J. Burtrum, Springfield; two brothers, Tommie, Peoria, and Bob, West Plains, a sister, Elma Chllson, Houston, Texas; and two grandchildren, Christina and Marc.

Services will be at 10 a.m. 1 James Virgil Trimble LAMPE Jim left us Tuesday, Nov. 17, 1998, while at home In his easy chair, of congenital' heart failure, at the age of Jim was born Aug. 21, 1937, in St. Louis, to Hildred Barbara and James William-Trimble.

He was a proud graduate of Christian Brothers College in St. Louis in 1955. He served in the Marine Corps. He attended Our Lady of the Cove Catholic Church, Kimberling City. The oldest son of eight Children, he was always the leader.

A strong and hardworking man, he was a loving father and grandfather. Jim owned and operated Harter House Meats on South Campbell, for many years. He enjoyed his customers and being a meat cutter, and his customers always looked forward to his smiling face. He was still a friendly face at Harter House on Republic Road, where he enjoyed working along side his son, Bill, and other relatives and longtime friends. (There was never a dull moment when father and son would joke behind the counter.) He enjoyed The Lake, mowing the yard, fishing with his brothers, Traveling and gaming with his mother and sisters, and spending time with his family and friends.

We will joyfully remember him as a good man with a good sense of humor and witty sarcasm. He was preceded in death by his father, James William Trimble, and favorite brother-in-law, Jerry "Butch" Bettlach. He is survived by his mother, Hildred Reichle Adler; four sisters; three brothers; a daughter and her husband. Linda and Barry Miller, anq their children, B.J. and Chrlsto- pher, a daughter and her hus band, Tina and Leslie Simpson; and their children, Jessica Robbie, and Ericka, a son and his wife, Bill and Theresa Trim ble, and their child, James, and daddy's baby daughter and her husband, Barbie ana Dave Studanski, and their chili dren, Stephanie, Preston and Harley; dear to his heart ana mother of his children, Peggy; Trimble; also many nieces nephews, relatives and good friends, such as Shelby Deck ard, who was more than doctor.

Opsahl MESA, Ariz. Arvid C. Opsahl, known to his friends as "Pinky," 77, Mesa, a retired systems analyst for the Social Security Administration, died Monday, Nov. 16, 1998. He was born in Bemidji, Minn.

Following his retirement in 1975, Pinky and Martha resided in Kimberllng City, where he was an active member of the BPOE Lodge. After many years as winter residents of Arizona, they moved to Monte Vista Village, Mesa, in 1997. Survivors include his wife, Martha Jane; a sister, Margaret McCarfy, Benton, sisters-in-law, Evie Opsahl, Minnesota City, Mabel Wallace, Springfield, and Emma Jean Lauramore and Edna McDonald, both of Springfield, nine nieces and nephews; and 16 great-nieces and nephews. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov.

Glen W. Ferguson Glen W. Ferguson 97, Springfield, died at 1 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17, 1998, in Springfield Residential Care Center.

He was born Dec. 30, 1900, in Iberia, to the iate William T. and Mary Frances Smith Ferguson. He was a Frisco Railroad employee for 39 years. After retirement, he spent four and a half years as an employee of the Assemblies of God in their Headquarters building.

His home and his church were the focal points of his life. He was a longtime member of First Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon, chairman of the ushers, and as an usher, and his friendly outgoing manner suited him perfectly when he aced as a Greeter. He assisted with the Lord's Supper in a significant manner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded In death by six brothers, and five sisters. He is survived by his wife, Sara Gladys Ferguson; a brother and his wife, Walter and Glennis Ferguson; a niece, Dorma Ferguson, all of Springfield; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20, 1998, In the First Baptist Church chapel with Dr. T.T. Crabtree officiating under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel.

Dodd, 80, Springfield, passed away at 11:31 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17, 1998, in Cox Medical Center South. Lucille was born May 21, 1918, in Mossy SprlngsWay-nesville, to the late Clyde and Nell Gray Collier. She was a retired cook and cafeteria worker in the school system.

She was an active member of the Eastern Star for more than 40 years, and an active member of University Heights Baptist Church, where she was in charge of the kitchen, also a member of the Fellowship Sunday school class, and the Guide To Great Bargains In The Ozarks. Rev. Allen Ledbetter Rev. Allen Ledbetter, 93, Springfield, went home to be with God at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov.

17, 1998, in Primrose Place, Springfield, following a long illness. The son of James and Cal-dona Jones Ledbetter, he was born March 9, 1905, in Lutle, Mo. He was united in marriage to Bertha Hampton on Nov. 22, 1924, who preceded him in death In 1997. He was also preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Raymond, Rayford and Emory; and his youngest son, W.D.

He is survived by a son, Carl Ledbetter, Neosho, a daughter, Delphia Hogan, Springfield; a devoted daughter-in-law, Carolyn Ledbetter, Sarcoxie, 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a great-greatgrandchild. Allen became a Christian and was called into the ministry at an early age. He was a member of Salem General Baptist Church In Ozark County, Mo. He had pastored rural churches iq Southwest Missouri and conducted many revivals in surrounding mid-west states and California. His greatest joy was his family and preaching the Word.

He was at his best by a bed side when a friend was ill or consoling other people when losses came to them. The miles were never too long when he received a call to a home or hospital when he was needed. He loved the Bible and enjoyed every opportunity to share it with others. His life Is over, but his legacy lives on In the hearts of his family and the many lives he touched. Services will be at 11 a.m.

He was bom July 9, 1933, to Charles Clifford Stewart and Roxie Marie Glldewell Stewart in Christian County, Mo. Bobby was a U.S. Navy veteran. He enjoyed gun collecting and hunting. His father preceded him in death.

He is survived by two sons, Randy R. Stewart, Lee's Summit, and D.
