Obituaries must be received before 4:30 Lisa Dawn Wynes Lisa Dawn Wynes, 43, Republic passed away Monday, March 6, 2006, in her home following a courageous battle with cancer. She was a 20 plus years survivor. She was born September 22, 1962, in Springfield, to Don and Hazel (Davis) Stubblefield. She was united in marriage to Steve Wynes on January 31, 1987.

Lisa cherished the time spent with her family and friends. A brother, Jimmy Noel, and her parents preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband, Steve, and a daughter, Stephanie Rachael Wynes, both of the home; a son, Jeremiah James Wynes, Pensacola, a brother, Keith Noel, Seymour; a sister, Judy Quinn, West Plains; her mother-in-law and husband, Linda and Jack Slagle; other relatives and many friends. In Memory of Arthur J. Swyers Aug. 14, 1905 March 8, 2005 On this first anniversary of his passing from earthly life to life eternal, we honor his precious memory. NEWS- LEADER Preston Marden Sellers Preston Marden Sellers, age 92, of Springfield, passed away Sunday, March 5, 2006, at home. He was born February 2, 1914, in Hardy, and graduated from Hardy High School, Class of 1932. He was united in marriage for over 50 years with Edna (Spurlock) Sellers, who preceded him in death in 1989. He was a Frisco truck driver, proud and a Mason; went a deTeamster, gree in electronics at the age of 50 and work for Zenith; and in "retirement" he worked for 12 years at Greenlawn Funeral Home.

He was also a member of University Heights Baptist Church. Mr. Sellers enjoyed woodworking, tinkering with electronics and working in the yard, and was a joyful playmate of his great-grandson Patrick. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Susan Sellers Bourgeois, in 1992. He is survived by his granddaughter, Laura Bourgeois, her husband, Matthew Rankin, and their son, Patrick Bourgeois Rankin; two sisters, Jo Holt and Vie Glenn, and their families; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday evening, March 9, at Greenlawn FUneral Home South. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, March 10, 2006, at the funeral home. Graveside services and burial immediately following at Spring River Baptist Church, Bronaugh Cemetery, Hardy, Ark.

Rev. Carl Fortner Rev. Carl Fortner, 75, of Aurora, died March 6, 2006, in the Aurora Nursing Center. He was born to Lemuel and Wilma Martin Fortner on May 11, 1930, in Willard, Mo. He was a retired Baptist Minister and shop foreman for Leitle Auto Supply.

Survivors include one daughter, Carole Kleiboeker of Stotts City, one sister, Ila Coulter of Redlands, three grandchildren, John Kleiboeker of California, Philip Kleiboeker of Monett, and Amy Schafer of Springfield; and seven greatgrandchildren. preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Georgia; one daughter, Rebecca Fortner; and a brother, Ray Fortner. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 10, 2006, at 10 a.m. in the Aurora Baptist Temple under the direction of Peterson Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Ash Grove Cemetery.

Mike died March 6, 2006, at 9:30 a.m., one month after receiving the diagnosis of a "stinkin' tumor" in his brain. After growing up in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, he came to Springfield, to attend Evangel College in 1971. While at Evangel, Mike was known for playing the guitar and for his big Afro hair! Before graduation in 1975, Mike started working at KYTV in Springfield, Mo. On June 28, 1980, Mike married Donna "Love does not consist of gazing at each other, but in looking together in the same direction." (Antoine de SaintExupery). To this union three remarkable kids were born, Ginger, Michael Jr.

and Rosa Lea Lopez. Mike completely loved his wife, and set an example for other couples, helping them grow together as he taught through the Homebuilder's Couples Class at Hope Community Church, and a project for Ozark Marriage Matters, and presented for the Assemblies of God Marriage Encounter. His lifelong love of music and writing delighted his family and friends who enjoyed songs played on his guitar, and each quick and witty remark. Mike was a great example of what it meant to be a godly man, godly husband, godly father and friend. He gave all he had in all of these talents and only offered the best, nothing less would satisfy him.

Mike continued to work at KYTV as Creative Services Supervisor and wrote many great commercials and presentations for this community. Mike is survived by his wife, Donna, and their children; his brother and sisterin-law, Steven and Avonna Lopez, and their children, Adrienne and Andrew Lopez, of Ozark, Mo. Mike lived a great life and achieved many goals including running in 3K and 5K races. Monday, March 6, 2006, in St. John's. She was born December 14, 1925, in Picher, Oklahoma, the daughter of George and Anita Morris Wells. She was a graduated of Pryor Oklahoma High School and attended Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma. She had resided Springfield since 1946.

Maxine co-owned Miss Mizzou Shop with her sister, Sue, for 18 years and also operated Fabric Supply until her retirement three years ago when the business was sold. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Holloway. Maxine is survived by her husband of 59 years, Edward E. Monroe; son, Steven Edward (Marilyn) Monroe; daughter Mackie Ann (Steve) Byars, all of Springfield; two sisters, Sue (Jim) Whorton, Springfield, and Carmen Sallee, Colorado Springs, Colorado; and six grandchildren, Mark Monroe, Kim Hurshman, Zachary and Gabe Byars, Hannah (Tim) Stillie, and Amanda (Clayton) McCullah. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m.

Lorene Heinlein Lorene, Heinlein, daughter of Horner and Virginia (Adams) Horner, was born Sept.

4, 1928, in Crossroads, Missouri, in Douglas County, and departed this life March 7, 2006, at the age of 77 years, six months, and three days. Lorene was a lifelong resident of the Ava area. On July 3, 1956, Lorene and J.G. Heinlein were united in marriage in Springfield, Missouri, by Rev. Bill Spindler.

Lorene was employed as secretary with the University of Missouri Extension for 52 years. She enioyed her extension work and tested soil for several years. Lorene enioyed helping people and always wanted to help anyone in need. Lorene loved to travel and had fun working the Douglas County Fair. Lorene was a member of the Ava General Baptist Church for many years and was a member of the Rebekkah Lodge in Ava and Springfield.

Lorene was preceded in death by her parents, and a son, Joseph Andrew Heinlein. She is survived by her husband, J.G., of the home, Ava; one son, Mike Heinlein, Springfield, one granddaughter, Jessica Necole Heinlein, Springfield, and a host of relatives and friends. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday, March 10, 2006, in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, with the Rev. Oren Alcorn officiating.

Lola went to be with her Lord and maker on March 6, 2006, at Republic Christian Health Care. On May 13, 1953, Lola married her high school sweetheart, William L. Springer, in Omaha, and to this union five children were born, Patty, Linda, Debbie, Derwin and Pam. Lola attended LPN school graduating in 1977. She worked for Cox Hospital on the maternity floor for 21 years before retiring in 1998.

Lola is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, William "Bill" Springer, of Marionville; her daughters, Patty Merritt and husband, Bill, of Branson West, Linda Blades and fiance, Richard Troutman, of Billings, Debbie Stover of Springfield, and Pam Gunn and husband, Paul, of Marionville; a dear sister, Lorene Jones of Omaha, grandchildren, Billy Merritt, Amy Romesburg, Brandon Merritt, Carrie and Melissa Merritt, Crystal Baker, Casey Gunn, Amber Jones, Sarah Gunn and Amanda Springer; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother and father; a son, Derwin Springer; son-inlaw, Rick Stover; grandson, Brian Blades; five brothers; and one sister. Lola was a loving wife, mother and friend. She was a member of Curtis Chapel Baptist Church of Marionville, where she loved to sing in the choir. She will be dearly missed by all of those who loved and knew her.
