Clessie Catherine (Nelson) Oswald, age 96, of Ozark, passed away Saturday, April 21, 2012. She was born March 30, 1916, in Sparta, along with her twin, Jessie Ellingsworth Morgan of Ozark, who died six years ago. Their parents were James and Mattie (Bray) Nelson. Clessie married Don Oswald in 1944; he died in 2001. They lived most of their lives in eld.

She worked many year at Lily-tulip. Clessie encouraged her two children Beverly Stenger and Tony Oswald, to pursue thei dreams. Later she became a constant cheerleade for her three grandchildren. She also made her church and Christian faith priorities. She was a longtime member of Cherry Stree Baptist Church and more recently Second Baptis Church.

Clessie is survived by her son, Tony, and his wife Artell, of Houston, Texas; her daughter, Beverly, an husband, Neil Stenger, of eld; her granddaughter, Stacey Gold, and two children, Addiso and Jack, of eld; her granddaughter, Ambe Stenger, and husband, Russell Gray, and their thre children, Russell, Nolan and Aidan Gray of Shawnee and her granddaughter, Holly Stenger. In addition to her husband and twin sister, Mrs Oswald was preceded in death by her four brothers Clyde, Clell, Cecil and Claude Nelson an four other sisters May Vaughn, Pearl Weter, Vest a Gravelle and Ada Ballard. The family would like to extend its gratitude to th staff of Riverview Manor in Ozark for providing Mrs Oswald with wonderful care during the last years her life. No formal visitation is planned. A family gravesid service will be at 10:00 a.m.

Clessie Catherine Oswald Henry Edward Lewallen, our beloved husband and father, passed from this life and was united with his Lord and Savior in Heaven on April 20, 2012 in Mercy Hospital, eld, MO. Henry was born January 22, 1930 in eld, MO to the late James Henry and Etta Lewallen.

On November 13, 1948 he was united in marriage to Reva Lumley and to this union one daughter was born. Together, they have bee members of Kansas Expressway Church of Chris since 1968. Henry was owner and operator of Littl Beaver Tree Service for 43 years until his retiremen in 2011. Many of favorite pastimes were hi love for racing, travel and his practical jokes. He wil always be remembered for his love of family an wonderful sense of humor.

Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years, Reva of the home; his daughter, Cynthia Brown and husband Kirt of Kansas City; sister, Wanda Morris Buffalo; and many nieces, nephews and countles friends and associates. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 25, 2012 in Greenlawn Funeral Hom North with burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 24 2012 from 6-8 p.m., in the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to Fair Haven Home in Strafford, MO. Henry Edward Lewallen Helen Koboldt Bock passed away peacefully Sunday, April 22, 2012 at Mercy Villa, at the age of 96, surrounded by her loving family. Helen was born on December 26, 1915 in St. Louis and married Joseph Bock in 1937. They spent 51 years together before his death in 1988. She moved to eld in 1994 and was quite active in the lives and activities of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Joellen (Wayne) Scheer, eld; grandchildren, Diane (Ken) Harris, Powell, Ohio, Brian (Lisa) Bock, Christine (Sean) Lang, all of St. Louis, Kevin Scheer, Linda (Mickey) Moore, Laura (Grant) McCune, all of eld; 1 2 great-grandchildren, Grace, Annie and Will Scheer Molly and Maggie Moore, Claire, Katie and Ann a McCune, Rebecca and Brian Bock, and Katlyn an Tyler Lang. She is also survived by one sister, Anetha Nielsen of Coral Springs, Florida and numerou nieces, nephews and dear friends. She lived a very lling life, was a wonderful Christian example and was always gracious. Visitation will be at Trinity Lutheran Church, wher she was a member, on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at 2 pm, with funeral to follow at 3 pm, under the direction of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.

Intermen will be Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at 1 pm in Valhall a Cemetery in St. Louis, MO. In lieu of owers, donations may be made to Trinity Lutheran Youth Program, 1415 S. Holland Ave. eld, MO 65807, in honor of all the children sh loved so much.

A very special thank you to the Mercy Villa famil that cared for Helen with such love and dignity. are forever grateful. Helen K. Bock The Rev. Edgar Croll, 87, of eld, died peacefully in his home on Saturday, April 21, 2012, following a brief illness.

At three days old, Edgar became child in the waters of Holy Baptism. Since that moment, until he closed his eyes in death, Edgar was faithful, trusted and believed that You (Jesus) are the Christ, the Son of the living God. Following his serice in World War II, he entered ad graduated from Concordia Lutheran University in St. Paul, Minn. He then entered Concordia Lutheran Theological Seminary in St.

Lous, Mo. graduating in 1953. Congregations Pastor Croll served were in North Dakota, Illinois, Iowa and Wisconsin. Following his retirement, he wintered in Bonita Springs, FL where he started a mission. He then served at that mission, Hope Lutheran, as winter assistant for 10 years.

He is survived by his wife, Susan. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Day Funeral Home, 1075 State Highway CC, Marsh- eld, MO. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 24th from 6 8 p.m. in Day Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Wednesday, April 25th in St.

Paul Lutheran Church, 609 N. Locust eld, MO beginning at 10:30 a.m. The Rev. Robert Knapp will ciate. Romans Rev.

Edgar Croll Geraldine Smith, 89, died in her home at The Maples Care Center on April 21, 2012 surrounded by people she loved. She was born August 16, 1922 in Webster County and lived her adult life in eld. She was preceded in death by her loving son, Rickie Dunn; her husband, Orville Smith; her parents, John and Ella Dunn; a brother, Lester Dunn; and a sister, Ruby Cramer. Geraldine is survived by her nephew, Steve Dunn and his wife Jan of Ozark, whom she loved dearly; parents, Charlotte and John Beazley; many friends from The Maples; as well as other nieces, nephews and cousins. Geraldine moved to Primrose Place (now Maples) in June 2008 after breaking her hip.

Her time there was a blessing to Geraldine and she was a treat to the staff and resident friends she made. She will be remembered and missed for her mischievous smile, tell it like she sees it attitude, stubborn hard-headed nature and twinkling blue eyes. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 25, 2012 in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of owers, donations may be made to The Maples Care Center Activities Fund. Arrangements have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home North.

Geraldine Smith Robert Michael Phelps, 62, of eld, passed away in his home on April 21, 2012, after a long and courageous battle with emphysema which led to COPD. Mike was born the son of Robert Leland and Doris Evelyn Phelps, of Spring- eld, on November 12, 1949. Mike graduated from Parkview High School in 1968 where he thrived in many school activities. He attended Southwest Missouri State before serving in the US Navy. After a tour in the Navy, he attended and graduated from Arkansas State University where he met Eda Claire Sulfridge who he later married on May 22, 1976.

Both moved to eld, Mo, to join the family business. They gave birth to his pride and joy, a daughter, Miranda, 1980. Mike spent the majority of his career in the insurance business where he won numerous accolades from customer service to sales achievements. His biggest achievement in life was being that of a loving father, son, big brother, and great uncle. He brought so much joy to his family and those he surrounded with is upbeat nature and willingness to do anything for those he loved.

He loved, more than anything, being Uncle Mike to his great nieces and nephews who brought so much joy to his life. Mike was preceded in death by his mother, Doris Phelps. He is survived by his daughter, Miranda Phelps of Boston, MA; his father Bob Phelps, two siblings and their spouses, brother Rick and Donna Phelps, sister Pam and Doug Lyman. Four nieces and nephews and their spouses; Kristi and Jason Knopinski, Brooke and Mike Glenn, Chris and Lyndsey Phelps, and Jennifer Phelps. He is survived by great nieces and nephews; Jaxon Glenn, Haley, Noah, and Lucas Phelps, Simon and Anslei Knopinski; a devoted loving caretaker, Sharon Gragg; as well as numerous friends and colleagues.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 25, 2012, at Greenlawn Funeral Home East with Pastor Jim Mason ciating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. He was a former member of the Lions Club. Tony serviced in the Air Force. Survivors include his wife, Avis Jo of the home; three sons, Craig Compton of Kansas City, Missouri, Chris Compton and wife Kristie and Chad Compton and wife, Stephanie, all of Clinton, Missouri; his mother Josephine Clayton and his sister, Charlene Cutbirth, both of Carrollton, Texas and ve grandchildren, Jordyn, Lane, Nathan, Railee, and Carissa. Arrangements have been entrusted to Vansant- Mills Funeral Home of Clinton, Missouri. Charles Anthony Compton Donna King, age 42, of eld, MO loving mother of William Cameron and went to Heaven on April 21st, to be with her mother Rosemary Cameron.

She is also survived by her grandson, Jaisen; brothers, Danny, Scott and Allen; sisters, Delores, Debbie and Pamela and her father, Loren Cameron along with all their family and friends. Funeral service will be held at 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 24th at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Visitation will be from 6 8 p.m., Tuesday, April 23rd in the funeral home. She is loved by all. Donna King Joel Lee Kness, age 70, of Ash Grove, MO passed away Friday, April 20, 2012 in his home.

Graveside service will be Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Ash Grove Cemetery under the direction of Birch Funeral Home of Ash Grove.
