He was born on March 24, 1940. He was the son of Geneva Crisp Ward and Herman Fincher, both of whom preceded him in death. He had resided in Branson, Missouri since I 1995, working with his wife, Judy, in several flea market adventures. Judy still lives in their home in Branson. terest was in flea markets. He loved to go to auc- Marvin Leon Bridges Marvin Leon Bridges was born May 8, 1929 to Walter and Minnie Bridges in Pyatt, Arkansas. He was the youngest of five children, one sister, Ruth Godfrey and two brothers, Howard and Vaughn, who preceded him in death and one brother who died at birth. He attended the School of the Ozarks, where he learned to be a printer a trade he would practice his entire life. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the army and was sent to Tokyo where he worked on the Stars and Stripes.

In 1949 he married Sammie Lane Blankenship who preceded him in death in 1986. Marvin spent most of his life in Tulsa, OK working as a printer for the Tulsa Public Schools. Marvin loved sports. He was an avid Arkansas Razorback fan. His favorite hobby was coaching boys' baseball, in which he was very successful, leading one team to the finals in Carlsbad, New Mexico.

In December 1997 he moved to Hollister, MO. One year later, he married Maxine Bridges and they enjoyed 15 happy years together. He is survived by his wife Maxine; his three children, Susan McCall, Bobby and Brenda Bridges; four stepchildren, Zandra, Candy, Eugene (Steve), and Amy Sommer; and three grandchildren, four step grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Feb 17, at 11:00 at the Williams Memorial Chapel, College of the Ozarks, Hollister, MO. Visitation will be on Feb 17, 10:00 till service time.

May Son Funeral Home, Columbia CRANE tions. Ben had many major health problems throughout his life, but he always met them with a determination to get better and always kept his sense of humor. However, his Emphysema began to wear him down and he recently indicated to Judy that he was tired of fighting. Ben and Judy had been married 48 years, celebrating their latest anniversary on November 21, 2013. He had hoped to be able to celebrate a 50th, but the Lord decided that that was not to be.

Although he sounded like a hard-hearted man, he was a softie at heart. He did know that the only way to win entrance into Heaven was by asking Christ into his heart, which he had done as a young man and a few years ago he had renewed his faith one evening by praying for forgiveness. Due to the unusual circumstances of his birth, Ben always strived to prove his worthiness and was a quite a work-a-holic until the COPD finally played it's hand. He would urge anyone to quit smoking or never to start. The ravages of that disease are heart breaking.

Howard was born to Hershel Owen Phillips and Mildred (Gonce) Phillips in their farmhouse at Delaware Town, near the James River in northwestern Christian county on November 11, 1927. Service will be Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
