W E McComb found to be library donor after his death
Death Reveals Library Donor For 10 years Lebanon residents have wondered who gave $40,000 for construction of a public library at Lebanon. The donor had stipulated that his name would remain secret until after his death. After the death Tuesday of w. E. McComb. 84, in a Rolls. Mo., hospital it was disclosed that he was the benefactor. McComb formerly was lba-non hardware dealer, and later moved to St. James, Mo. Throughout his life, he kept in touch with his relatives and friends here. The new one-story brick library buikling was placed in use in 1951.
